Sunday School

Sunday School is held every Sunday at 10:00 am at Northside 7th Day Adventist (see location).  The following classes are available:

Toddler Class

This class is for children from ages 1 to 3 and is taught by Sister Aimee Goldstein.  A Bible lesson is taught through story time, crafts, coloring, and songs.

Primary Class

This class is for children from ages 4 to 5 and is taught by Sister Kristi Duckett.

Children's Class

This class is for children from ages 6 to 8 and is taught by Sister Sherry Wright.

The Children's Class is currently studying a series of lessons titled 'Divided We Fall'.  In this study we see David's once great kingdom crumble.  Why?  Division and compromise cost the kingdom its power and integrity.  This study helps students know that to receive God's blessings we must remain true to Him.

Intermediate Class (The Anchor Bond-Servants)

This class is for children from ages 9 to 13 and is taught by Brother Jason Williams.

Adult Class

This class is taught by Elder Rob Duckett.  We are currently studying the Minor Prophets

Worship Service

Our Worship Service begins at 11:15 pm at Northside 7th Day Adventist (see location).  Our worship services usually consist of corporate singing and individual or group songs, prayer, and the presentation of the message, followed by additional singing, prayer, or personal testimony as the Spirit of God leads our congregation.  During our song service we enjoy singing both traditional hymns and contemporary praise songs.  Our focus is not upon the style of our music but the message of the music and the intent of our hearts as we worship the Lord.

Sunday Evening Service

Our Sunday Evening Service begins at 6:00 pm.  Services typically rotate from home to home.  The location is announced each Sunday.  At this time, Elder Charles Pratt is leading a study on The Church.

Midweek Study & Youth Group

Our Midweek Service is held on Tuesday night at 7:00 pm at Northside 7th Day Adventist (see location).  The service usually consists of some singing and then either a Bible lesson or sermon, depending upon the direction of the individual leading the service.  These are usually a great time for interactive studies and discussion on many practical issues.  We also have a Youth Group that meets during the service in a separate room.

Bible Studies

The Anchor holds monthly Bible studies at various locations (usually in public buildings or homes).  Rather than having the same study each week, we alternate studies focused upon each of the areas mentioned below.  For information on the location of a Bible study, please contact the individual listed for each study.

Men's Breakfast & Bible Study

The Men's Breakfast & Bible study is on the second Saturday of each month at 9:00 am.  We meet at the IHOP on Tudor Drive in front of Home Depot for breakfast.

Women's Study

The Women's Group meets monthly.  Visitors are welcome to join the study.  The date, time, and location are announced each month.   Copies of our lessons can be found on the Resources Page

Biblical Counseling

The Bible teaches that Pastors are to preach, teach, and counsel with the wisdom of God's Word and the message of Jesus Christ.  We seek to fulfill this Scripture by offering Biblical counseling to individuals, couples, and families who are looking for God's solutions to their problems.  Individual and family counseling is conducted by Pastor James and/or Sister Mary Keen as appropriate.  Please contact them at 907-317-3486 if you would like to set up an appointment or are interested in further information.

"We proclaim [preach] Him, admonishing [counseling] every man and teaching every man with all wisdom, so that we may present every man complete in Christ." - Colossians 1:28  (New American Standard Bible - Updated Edition)
